Across TCGA patient cohorts, STAT3 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 4,270 significant associations in total. CCRCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible STAT3-associated genes across cancer lineages are RAB5C, KPNB1, and RETREG3. Each is linked with STAT3 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both STAT3-to-partner and partner-to-STAT3 results are reported.
