Across TCGA patient cohorts, REST mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,952 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible REST-associated genes across cancer lineages are CD8A, FUT10, and ZNF683. Each is linked with REST in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both REST-to-partner and partner-to-REST results are reported.
