Across TCGA patient cohorts, MT-CO1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 3,434 significant associations in total. PDAC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MT-CO1-associated genes across cancer lineages are FCGR3B, ST6GALNAC3, and PATE3. Each is linked with MT-CO1 in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MT-CO1-to-partner and partner-to-MT-CO1 results are reported.
