Across TCGA patient cohorts, VPS53 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,671 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VPS53-associated genes across cancer lineages are ASL, PMPCB, and ZNHIT1. Each is linked with VPS53 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VPS53-to-partner and partner-to-VPS53 results are reported.
