Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UTS2R RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of UTS2R’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where UTS2R RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types UTS2R is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KICH, and KIRC are the cancer types where UTS2R tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
