Across TCGA patient cohorts, USP28 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,735 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible USP28-associated genes across cancer lineages are RAD51AP1, CHEK1, and NCAPG. Each is linked with USP28 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both USP28-to-partner and partner-to-USP28 results are reported.
