Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STAR Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STAR data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher STAR Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STAR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where STAR Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
