Across TCGA patient cohorts, STAR mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,131 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible STAR-associated genes across cancer lineages are FAM74A7, RNU6-462P, and RFKP1. Each is linked with STAR in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both STAR-to-partner and partner-to-STAR results are reported.
