Across TCGA patient cohorts, STAR mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 34 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible STAR-associated genes across cancer lineages are eIF4E, EGFR_pY1068, and eIF4G. Each is linked with STAR in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both STAR-to-partner and partner-to-STAR results are reported.
