Across TCGA patient cohorts, SMAD9-IT1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 8,987 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SMAD9-IT1-associated proteins across cancer lineages are SORBS3, SEPTIN4, and CAVIN1. Each is linked with SMAD9-IT1 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SMAD9-IT1-to-partner and partner-to-SMAD9-IT1 results are reported.
