Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-1046P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-1046P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNU6-1046P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-1046P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where RNU6-1046P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
