Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU5E-10P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU5E-10P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RNU5E-10P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU5E-10P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, LUAD, and PAAD are the cancer types where RNU5E-10P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
