Across TCGA patient cohorts, REST mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 35 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible REST-associated genes across cancer lineages are ATM, MEK1, and Caspase-7-cleavedD198. Each is linked with REST in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both REST-to-partner and partner-to-REST results are reported.
