Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB38 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RAB38 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher RAB38 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RAB38 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and READ show a favorable association.

SKCM, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where RAB38 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
