Across TCGA patient cohorts, PPARGC1A protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,210 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PPARGC1A-associated genes across cancer lineages are LGALS1, CERK, and PLEK2. Each is linked with PPARGC1A in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PPARGC1A-to-partner and partner-to-PPARGC1A results are reported.
