Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PPARGC1A RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PPARGC1A data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher PPARGC1A RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PPARGC1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and KIRC show a favorable association.
MESO, KIRC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PPARGC1A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
