Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POM121L3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POM121L3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where POM121L3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POM121L3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where POM121L3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
