PHF5GP

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PHF5GP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PHF5GP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where PHF5GP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PHF5GP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where PHF5GP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
