Across TCGA patient cohorts, PEX5 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 3,910 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PEX5-associated genes across cancer lineages are RIMKLB, PLEKHA5, and XAF1. Each is linked with PEX5 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PEX5-to-partner and partner-to-PEX5 results are reported.
