Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR8D4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OR8D4 data layer compared with 16 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher OR8D4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR8D4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.

LUAD and SKCM are the cancer types where OR8D4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
