Across TCGA patient cohorts, NPS mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 226 significant associations in total. SKCM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NPS-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNA5SP206, RNU1-34P, and RBISP1. Each is linked with NPS in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NPS-to-partner and partner-to-NPS results are reported.
