Across TCGA cell cohorts, MTREX protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 3,575 significant associations in total. BREAST shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MTREX-associated genes across cancer lineages are STUB1, LY9, and CCDC62. Each is linked with MTREX in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MTREX-to-partner and partner-to-MTREX results are reported.
