Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTND4LP30 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTND4LP30’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where MTND4LP30 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTND4LP30 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KICH, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where MTND4LP30 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
