Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO1P10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where MTCO1P10 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO1P10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

UCEC, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where MTCO1P10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
