Across TCGA cell cohorts, MT-CO1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 2,936 significant associations in total. UPPER_AERODIGESTIVE_TRACT shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MT-CO1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Purine deoxyribonucleoside monophosphate biosynthetic process, DAMP biosynthetic process, and Maintenance of unfolded protein. Each is linked with MT-CO1 in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MT-CO1-to-partner and partner-to-MT-CO1 results are reported.
