Across TCGA patient cohorts, MSMP protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 38 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MSMP-associated genes across cancer lineages are PFKFB2, STK33, and SLC34A1. Each is linked with MSMP in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MSMP-to-partner and partner-to-MSMP results are reported.
