Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6780B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6780B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where MIR6780B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6780B is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRP are the cancer types where MIR6780B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
