Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6129 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6129’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where MIR6129 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6129 is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC, BRCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where MIR6129 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
