Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR378H RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR378H’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MIR378H RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR378H is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where MIR378H tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
