Across TCGA cell cohorts, MDFI RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 5,340 significant associations in total. BONE shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MDFI-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are NMDA selective glutamate receptor signaling pathway, Rho protein signal transduction, and Bundle of His cell-Purkinje myocyte adhesion involved in cell communication. Each is linked with MDFI in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MDFI-to-partner and partner-to-MDFI results are reported.
