Across TCGA patient cohorts, MBOAT7 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,936 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MBOAT7-associated genes across cancer lineages are KDELR1, RPL27, and ZNF787. Each is linked with MBOAT7 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MBOAT7-to-partner and partner-to-MBOAT7 results are reported.
