Across TCGA patient cohorts, MAFA-AS1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 7,084 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MAFA-AS1-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of DNA-directed DNA polymerase activity, Negative regulation of DNA-templated transcription, elongation, and Membrane biogenesis. Each is linked with MAFA-AS1 in more than 19 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MAFA-AS1-to-partner and partner-to-MAFA-AS1 results are reported.
