Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MAFA-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MAFA-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MAFA-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MAFA-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and LUAD show a favorable association.

ACC, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where MAFA-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
