Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, LAGE3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated LAGE3 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher LAGE3 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated LAGE3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC and SKCM are the cancer types where LAGE3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
