Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIAA0319L RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KIAA0319L data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher KIAA0319L RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIAA0319L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and BRCA show a favorable association.

LIHC, LGG, and MESO are the cancer types where KIAA0319L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
