Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KIAA0319L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KIAA0319L data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher KIAA0319L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KIAA0319L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCEC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, PDAC, and HNSC are the cancer types where KIAA0319L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
