Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KCNQ5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KCNQ5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher KCNQ5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KCNQ5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.

LUSC, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where KCNQ5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
