Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KATNB1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated KATNB1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher KATNB1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KATNB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, ESCA, and COAD are the cancer types where KATNB1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
