Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, KANTR RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated KANTR data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher KANTR RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated KANTR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and PAAD show a favorable association.
KICH, MESO, and BLCA are the cancer types where KANTR RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
