Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGKV1OR2-6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of IGKV1OR2-6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where IGKV1OR2-6 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types IGKV1OR2-6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LUAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where IGKV1OR2-6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
