Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, IGHV3-30 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated IGHV3-30 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher IGHV3-30 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated IGHV3-30 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where IGHV3-30 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
