Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HSPE1P11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of HSPE1P11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where HSPE1P11 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types HSPE1P11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KICH, and LUAD are the cancer types where HSPE1P11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
