Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HLA-B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated HLA-B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher HLA-B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HLA-B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

KIRC, STAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where HLA-B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
