Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, HAO1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated HAO1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher HAO1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated HAO1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC and BLCA show a favorable association.

KIRP, LIHC, and LGG are the cancer types where HAO1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
