Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, H2AL1RP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of H2AL1RP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where H2AL1RP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types H2AL1RP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, BRCA, and KIRC are the cancer types where H2AL1RP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
