Across TCGA patient cohorts, GSC mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,012 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible GSC-associated genes across cancer lineages are TMEM225, RNU4-58P, and RPL26P34. Each is linked with GSC in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both GSC-to-partner and partner-to-GSC results are reported.
