Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GSC RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated GSC data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher GSC RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated GSC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRP, and CESC are the cancer types where GSC RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
