Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, GPR148 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of GPR148’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where GPR148 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types GPR148 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where GPR148 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
