Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM90A25P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of FAM90A25P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where FAM90A25P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types FAM90A25P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, KICH, and CHOL are the cancer types where FAM90A25P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
