FAM8A2P

associated omics data
family with sequence similarity 8 member A2, pseudogeneGenealiases: []

Q-omics provides the consensus-scored FAM8A2P profile across patient tissues and cancer cell-line models. FAM8A2P expression is associated with patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, with the highest sampling consensus in KICH. Among the 18 cancer types available for tumor–normal comparison, FAM8A2P is differentially expressed in 3, with the highest sampling consensus in UCEC. Additionally, FAM8A2P RNA expression shows 5,476 significant pathway-activity associations, with the highest sampling consensus in STAD. Together, these results highlight KICH, UCEC, and STAD as cancer lineages where FAM8A2P shows reproducible signals across survival, tumor–normal expression, and patient cross-omics analyses.

Every result is evaluated using two consensus scores. Sampling consensus measures how consistently a finding is reproduced within a cancer lineage across different conditions. Lineage consensus measures how broadly the result is shared across cancer types, distinguishing pan-cancer signals from lineage-specific patterns.

Survival associations

This table summarizes FAM8A2P survival associations across molecular data types. FAM8A2P RNA expression shows survival associations in the most cancer types (14). The rightmost column indicates the cancer type with the highest sampling consensus for each molecular layer.

This table ranks reproducible FAM8A2P RNA expression–survival associations across cancer types. High FAM8A2P expression shows unfavorable associations in KICH, CESC, THCA, COAD, UVM and STAD. The KICH Kaplan–Meier curve shows clear separation, with the high-expression group declining faster, consistent with the unfavorable association (log-rank p < 0.001). Together, the overview and detailed table identify KICH as the clearest survival context for FAM8A2P RNA expression.

This table ranks reproducible tumor–normal expression differences for FAM8A2P. A negative fold-change indicates higher expression in normal tissue than in tumor tissue. FAM8A2P shows higher tumor expression in UCEC, LUSC and LUAD. The UCEC box plot shows higher FAM8A2P RNA expression in tumor versus normal tissue (log2 FC = +0.180, t-test p = .012).
